Product Facts

Versatile ventilation in a compact package

The NKV-440 is a versatile critical care ventilator with a HEPA-filtered, high-performance internal turbine. Clinically relevant modalities are built into guided steps so clinicians can stay focused on the patient. The app-based touchscreen is easy to learn and use. Care teams can move patients between invasive ventilation, non-invasive ventilation, and high-flow oxygen therapy on one system.

Intuitive, customizable, app-based interface

Waveforms, loops, and the app panel can be arranged to fit the way your team works.

HEPA-filtered internal turbine
The high-performance turbine provides filtered air to the patient in a compact system.

Integrated pneumatic nebulizer

Built-in support removes the need for external flow. Clinicians choose the respiratory phase for aerosol delivery. The NKV-440 also works with Aerogen nebulizers.

SpO2 and CO2 monitoring
The NKV-440 monitors CO2 and SpO2 during invasive and non-invasive ventilation with the ultra-compact cap-ONE® CO2 sensor and an SpO2 sensor. Monitoring also includes P0.1 and volumetric capnography.

Enhanced mobility

The NKV-440 weighs 22.3 lb. (10.1 kg) and measures 12.1 in. wide by 16.4 in. deep. It stands 19.9 in. with the display up and 9.9 in. with the display down.

Hot-swappable extended battery
Built-in batteries run for 5 hours under tested conditions. Multiple hot-swappable batteries add more time.

Trolley
The trolley includes a dual oxygen cylinder holder.

Lung protection tools
The Gentle Lung® Suite on the NKV-440 includes three guided applications.

Recruitability Assessment

Gives clinicians insight into the patient’s lungs to help determine whether a recruitment maneuver could be beneficial.

Recruitment Maneuver

Guides a customized, stepwise approach to lung recruitment that keeps the focus on the patient’s condition.

PEEP Titration

Continues from a recruitment maneuver or starts on its own to help determine PEEP at best compliance.

Multiple therapy options in one system

The NKV-440 supports invasive ventilation, non-invasive ventilation, and high-flow oxygen therapy. Clinicians can change therapy as the patient’s needs change.

Invasive modes: A/CMV (PC, VC, PRVC), SIMV (PC-PS, VC-PS, PRVC-PS), and SPONT (CPAP, PS, VS, APRV).

Non-invasive modes: A/CMV (PC), SIMV (PC-PS), and SPONT (CPAP, PS, APRV).
